Lady Pixelington’s Society Papers: Enter the Grotto

A Season for Giving, not Greed

Dearest gentle reader,

The festive season has arrived, and with it comes a special kind of magic. Macklebee (or Dave, as some may know him) has opened the doors to The Grotto, a place of generosity, cheer, and surprises waiting around every corner. It is here that two sets of tireless helpers – our wonderful bots – will help us celebrate the season of giving.

Let me introduce them to you, and share how you can get involved in this joyous Christmas tradition!

🎁 The Gift Distributors

Meet Noel Rafi, Toni, Beto, Luca and Dan – the merry Gift Distributors who are here to share treasures from a pool of gifts. Stop by the Grotto (owner: Macklebee) and open a trade window with them. They’ll offer you a gift.

A few important details to keep things fair:

  1. Cooldown Alert: Once you’ve traded with a Gift Distributor, there’s a cooldown of 4 hours before you can trade again. Patience is key.
  2. Habbo Club Only: You’ll need to be a Habbo Club member to receive gifts, so polish up your badge darlings.

If you receive a gift, embrace the magic of the season. Celebrate your surprise, and, more importantly, cheer on your fellow Habbos as they unwrap their own. This isn’t a time for jealousy or comparison – it’s a time for joy, community and shared excitement.

🎄 The Gift Collectors

On the giving side of the grotto, you’ll find Elf Nico and Elf Max, the diligent Gift Collectors. These two cheerful bots are ready to receive gifts that Habbos wish to donate. Every item you share with them goes straight into the community prize pool, where it can bring a smile to someone else’s day.

And here’s the best news:

  • There’s no cooldown on donating. You can give as many items as you like, whenever you like. Just keep it to one item at a time – they only have two hands readers.

Whether you’re clearing out your inventory, sharing something special, or simply spreading kindness, every gift is welcome. Oh, except ham. We’ve all seen enough of that for one year.

It’s these selfless acts that keep the grotto alive and sparkling with cheer.

A Season for Celebration, Not Greed

While the gifts are exciting, my dearest readers, let us not forget the true spirit of the season. Christmas is not about what we receive but about the joy of giving and the happiness we bring to others. Let us cheer each gift we see – whether it’s ours or someone else’s – and celebrate the kindness that makes our community so special.

Envy and greed have no place in The Grotto. Instead, let us lift each other up, share what we can, and treasure the smiles we inspire. After all, generosity and cheer are far more precious than pixels.

One More Thing… 🎂

Some eagle-eyed Habbos have reported a delightful surprise when logging in – a trophy appearing in their hands! The inscription? A special nod to Dave himself, as it seems Macklebee is celebrating his birthday amidst all the festive cheer.

But that’s not all… rumours are swirling that those lucky enough to hold this trophy might also stumble upon a different coloured hat to wear this season. Who will receive one? What will trigger the gifting? The details are wrapped tighter than a Christmas parcel, but one thing is clear: keep your eyes peeled, dears!

Happy Birthday, Macklebee, and thank you for bringing so much festive joy to us all!

And if that wasn’t enough reason to log in – here’s another treat.

🎄 A Nostalgic Christmas Badge Awaits!

Everyone who logs in between now and Christmas Day will receive a special, nostalgic Christmas badge to wear with pride. A festive memento of this magical season that you won’t want to miss. I tip my hat to Elf Ash, who lovingly brought this festive design into 2024.

So, Habbos, step into The Grotto, trade with the bots, give generously and celebrate every surprise with a smile. This is a season for kindness, cheer and community – let’s make it magical.

With twinkling lights and a tip of my festive hat,
